"Founding a Legacy" is the end result of months of testing, trying to get roasted chicken stock, ground rust, mining camp dirt & pureed boysenberries to act like dyes, pigments and paint in an effort to use the elements of the legendary history of Knott's Berry Farm to tell the story of their first hundred years.
This painting was featured at the 2023 Boysenberry Festival in Knott's Berry Farm's "Tied Up In Knotts" art show, along on their media preview event to showcase the upcoming festivities.
Housed in a beautiful, antique frame with original convex bubble glass, there are multiple layers of original paintings. Other than the background, the largest brush I used was a 0 round. The others were either an 18/0 round or my eyelash to stipple.
